OVARIES. TALK ABOUT THEM.
Women Deserve Better.
Ovaries. Talk About Them. is a bold movement designed to make an early detection test a reality for ovarian cancer in the next two years. Ovarian Cancer is the deadliest female cancer, yet still there is no test.
Years of chronic underfunding and a systemic bias in the medical system when it comes to women's reproductive health has meant that this disease - that impacts the lives of millions around the world every year - has not got the attention it deserves. For far too long women have been dismissed and overlooked and Ovaries. Talk About Them. exists to change that.
Over 310,000 women are diagnosed worldwide each year, with over 75% diagnosed in the late stages when it is often too late.
The statistics are getting worse, and we are running out of time.
By 2050, the number of women around the world diagnosed with ovarian cancer will rise over 55% to 503,448. The number of women dying from ovarian cancer each year is projected to increase to 350,956 an increase of almost 70% from 2022.
Now is the time to make an early detection test a reality.

Watch the extraordinary journey, and mission, of Ovaries. Talk About Them.
This campaign is deeply personal to Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman who lost their mum to the disease over 30 years ago when they were just 11 and 13 respectively. Their mother, Pamela was just 42 when she passed away, two short years after being diagnosed. That profound loss devastated their family and fundamentally changed the course of their lives.
In the 30 years since their mother passed away, the dire statistics for ovarian cancer have barely changed. Ovaries. Talk About Them. exists to change that, so that another daughter or son does not have to lose their mother too soon.
In just four years, your generous support has helped us raise an incredible $1.7 million. 100% of proceeds have gone directly to supercharge the work of Professor Caroline Ford, Dr Kristina Warton and the team of scientists and researchers at the UNSW Gynaecological Cancer Research Group.

This year's Ovaries. Talk About Them. t-shirt artwork was designed in-house by Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper and CEO Marc Freeman with the support of design agency SCCO. A simple yet impactful design, created with a sense of naivety through the use of childlike handwriting. This serves as a poignant reminder that an early detection test is crucial for our future generations.

In honour of our annual Ovaries. Talk About Them. campaign, we share the powerful stories of women who shine a light on their experience with ovarian cancer.
“We all have the power to band together and create history for the future of women’s health and stamp out the inequalities that have existed for far too long. One movement really can change the world. I lost my mother to this disease, as have countless of other children and families. The fact that the statistics have barely changed since my mother passed away, is simply not good enough.”
